Book Covers

I recreated book covers for some of my favorite pieces of fiction. With the Batman Knightfall cover, I wanted to show how Batman was broken and defeated (hence the shattered bat symbol on the front cover). For the back cover, I used it to show the dominance and overseeing nature that Bane had after defeating Batman with the eyes acting as searchlights looking over the city. The Nightmare Before Christmas cover redesign was a chance for me to use my illustrative skills to try and capture the same tone as the original book while also bringing a new light / unique feeling to it. I drew an icicle out of bones and then placed the main character's head (Jack Skellington) at the center to tie the 'snowflake' together. I also went with a more simplistic color scheme to further emphasize the illustration and bold red text.
